In-Vehicle SatNav System

Motor Manufacturers in SA deploy Navteq maps in their navigation systems. Navteq has incorporated ANT’s Location Code Tables into their data, and tests are expected to commence in late 2010.

These in car systems are pre equipped with traffic receivers and will have the ability to receive the Altech Netstar Traffic Message Channel transmitted on a Radio Data Signal (RDS) in the near future.

All major Motor Manufacturers and Distributors in SA have been canvassed by ANT and many are planning to launch availability in early 2011.
