Car Thieves in George Beware:

The George Herald has reported that thieves operational in the Kleinkrantz area of George were foiled on Wednesday 30 November 2011, when a stolen vehicle was recovered by Altech Netstar air and ground recovery crews.

The vehicle was stolen during a house robbery in Kelinkrantz at approximately 07h00, and the owner immediately contacted the Altech Netstar office in George. Both air and ground recovery crews were dispatched, and soon picked up signals from the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered opposite the Southern Cape College in Hibernia Street, George. No arrests were made, but Lieutenant Anna-Mart Deyce, the spokesperson for the South African Police Service in George, confirmed that the SAPS were investigating cases of both house-breaking and vehicle theft.
