Over 14 years ago, Altech Netstar pioneered the stolen vehicle recovery industry in South Africa. It did so using its proprietary RF (Radio Frequency) technology and developed the first vehicle tracking unit and radio transmitter/receiver network.

This top-of-the-range system has a number of added features that offer clients peace of mind. Once the system’s remote arming device is activated, there is no need for the client to call Altech Netstar in the event of a vehicle theft - Altech Netstar’s control centre will be notified.

This system is identical to Sleuth, and has the same operating procedure. However it has an advanced feature.

It is able to register street positioning of a mobile vehicle within a network, enabling Altech Netstar to provide clients with trip reports and other information useful for investigation purposes.

Altech Netstar Sleuth is an entry-level phone-in system, whereby you are required to advise Altech Netstar of a theft or hijacking.

Sleuth provides tracking and recovery throughout South Africa and in southern African states in which Altech Netstar has a presence.

Further to the launch of the GUARDIAN™ Personal Tracking device, Altech Netstar now offers a service called Guardian SOS.

Guardian SOS is an affordable emergency location and response service, which runs on Altech Netstar’s software, downloaded to your GPS/GPRS compatible mobile phone.

The service allows you to raise an SOS panic alert through a mobile application on your mobile phone. When raised, it will send an alert to Altech Netstar’s emergency centre as well as three preset emergency contacts.

Altech Netstar has launched a sophisticated personal tracking device and emergency response service called GUARDIAN™.
